Colin Taylor, Q.C., C.Med., C.Arb.

Colin Taylor, Q.C., C.Med., C.Arb. is a highly respected Mediator and Arbitrator with extensive experience in all sectors of the economy.

Mr. Taylor earned his B.A., LL.B. (with distinction) from the University of Alberta and was awarded the Gold Medal in Law. He taught at the Law School there for three years before embarking on his Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice which has taken him into disputes across the country. Mr. Taylor holds a Ph.D. in political science and is a Chartered Mediator and Chartered Arbitrator (ADR Institute of Canada).

Mr. Taylor has been appointed to the distinguished panels of arbitrators and mediators at ADR Chambers Inc., and the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre, both domestic and international panels.

Mr. Taylor is named in ADR section of "Best Lawyers in Canada".

Mr. Taylor is a named arbitrator in numerous agreements. He has been called upon to assist in major commercial disputes, including: investment dealer/client litigation; estate disputes; shareholder rights and distribution of share rights; partnership dissolution; construction; breach of contract; harassment; employment and dismissal disputes; Bill 13 – Timber Harvesting Contract and Subcontract Regulation issues and First Nations occupation of municipal tax jurisdiction disputes.
